Paul Hooper is a Consultant Gynaecologist at Nottingham University Hospitalswhere he is responsible for delivering tertiary level care in Urogynaecology for women in Nottinghamshire and beyond. He has an interest in ambulatory (short stay) surgery for both general and urogynaecological surgery.
Paul has also established a ‘Pelvis after Pregnancy’ clinic at City campus aimed at managing women who have sustained perineal and pelvic floor damage during childbirth.
Paul qualified from LiverpoolUniversity in 1991, and completed his training in the West Midlands. He has lectured extensively on the anatomical theories of incontinence, and has been involved in the introduction and evaluation of several minimally invasive procedures for the treatment of prolapse and incontinence to the UK.
He is a member of the International Urogynaecological Association, the International Continence Society, and sits on the guidelines committee of the British Society of Urogynaecology. He is married, with two daughters, and enjoys sailing, walking and fine wines.
James Hopkisson (Reproductive Medicine and Surgery)
James Hopkisson is a Consultant Gynaecologist based at Queens Medical Centre , Nottingham.He qualified in 1991 from St Thomas’s Hospital London.The majority of his training was in Oxford where he completed his MD into aspects of endometriosis and his RCOG subspecialist accreditation in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery.
He is the lead clinician for Fertility Services in Nottingham and is the Clinical Director of the University of Nottingham IVF Unit NURTURE. (www.nurture.ac.uk).At QMC he runs a dedicated PCO clinic, has clinics in conjunction with the menopause team for women with premature menopause and Turners Syndrome.
His main interests are the treatment of fertility, the management of endocrinological conditions (PCO and hyperprolactinaemia), and laparoscopic surgery (management of endometriosis, fibroids and tubal disease.
Mr Hopkisson is involved with both the Nottingham Endometriosis Society and with Breast Cancer Care giving advice on fertility preservation and treatment.
David Nunns (Gynaecological oncology)
David Nunns is a Consultant Gynaecologist based in Nottingham. He qualifedin 1991 at ManchesterUniversity and did his training in Leicester, Derbyand Adelaide before settling in Nottingham in 2002.
His clinical interestsare general gynaecology, colposcopy, patients with suspectedgynaecological cancer and vulval problems. He has been acredited by theRoyal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologist as a subspecialist inGynaecological cancer treatment and provides this service to the women ofboth Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire.
His interests are long distancetravel and his allotment. Each year he travels to remote villages in Nepalworking carrying out surgical camps for charity. In 1996 he setup theVulval Pain Society as a means of providing information and support towomen with vulval pain. ( www.vulvalpainsociety.org)

Karen is our group secretary / administrator and is based at The Park Hospital. She has many years experience as a secretary within the private sector and acts as the first point of contact for patients, GPs, insurance companies, and other specialists. She will be responsible for organising appointments, admissions and any investigations required.
